Role Overview
We are seeking a Vice President, Business Development - Financial Services to build, own, and scale RapidCanvas’s Financial Services business. This leader will be responsible for revenue growth, go-to-market strategy, customer success, and long-term vertical expansion with an initial focus on large, regulated financial institutions, insurers, and capital market firms.
You will work closely with executive leadership to define strategy while directly engaging with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Revenue Leadership
- Own and scale the Financial Services vertical, including revenue, pipeline, and long-term growth strategy
- Build and execute a repeatable go-to-market motion for selling agentic AI solutions into regulated financial institutions
- Drive large, complex enterprise deals with C-level and senior executive stakeholders
- Establish RapidCanvas as a strategic AI partner—not a point solution—within top-tier financial services accounts
- Lead sales and solution positioning in highly regulated environments involving data privacy, model risk management, auditability, security, reviews, and compliance with financial regulatory frameworks
Sales & Go-To-Market Execution
- Lead and close high-value enterprise opportunities, while shaping pricing, packaging, and deal structure
- Develop strategic account plans for key financial services customers
- Position RapidCanvas as a faster, lower-cost, higher-ROI alternative to traditional IT services and legacy consulting firms
- Influence product and solution roadmaps based on market and customer needs
- Drive adoption of agentic AI across core financial services workflows, including operations, risk & compliance, customer servicing, finance, and back-office transformation—not experimental labs or isolated analytics use cases.
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales and go-to-market team over time
- Partner closely with AI solution architects, delivery teams, and product leadership to ensure customer success
- Represent the Financial Services vertical internally and externally, including at executive briefings, industry events, and partner meetings
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales, consulting, or services leadership
- Proven success selling enterprise-scale technology or services into regulated financial institutions, navigating security, compliance, procurement, and multi-stakeholder buying committees.
- Experience closing multi-million-dollar enterprise deals with long, consultative sales cycles
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly at the C-suite level
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale new business lines or verticals
- Deep understanding of enterprise buying dynamics, procurement, security, and regulatory considerations in financial services
Preferred Experience
- Background selling AI, data platforms, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics solutions
- Experience competing against or selling alternatives to large IT services firms and management consultancies
- Prior VP Sales, or Practice Leader experience with ownership over a vertical or region
