​Everyone Is Selling Enterprise AI. Almost No One Delivers It.

Eighty percent of enterprises have adopted some form of AI. Only 10-30% have reached meaningful scale or real outcomes. The models are extraordinary. The gap between a successful pilot and a production system is where the money, the time, and the credibility go to die.

The Real Problem Is Not the AI

MIT's GenAI Divide report puts the failure rate on enterprise AI initiatives at close to 95%. That number doesn't reflect a technology problem. The models work. GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, and the rest are genuinely capable. What fails is everything downstream from the models: messy data architectures, fragmented systems, organizational complexity, and the absence of anyone accountable for closing the gap between demo and full deployment.

“Can it deliver what it promises?”

For a VP of Operations or the Chief Revenue Officer trying to justify an AI budget to a board that has already sat through six pilot presentations, this is the only question that matters. The specialists who win this cycle will share a few defining traits:

And none of them will consistently deliver the one thing enterprise buyers are actually demanding: a business that is measurably more successful on the other side of deployment.
